Although at present I am not on the mission field, I continue to see people with a missionary’s heart. When I paint, these feeling seem to flow out onto the canvas. Hopefully you will be able to see what I feel as you view my paintings. Some of my paintings are from pictures taken by missionary friends and others from my own experiences and imagination. I was Lost but now am Found

I was lost but now am found is a line from my favorite song Amazing Grace. I believe it sums up what every missionary’s calling is. To go out and bring comfort, shelter, food, water and God’s love.

The Climb

On our life’s journey there will be times when the climb will be shared with friends and times when it feels like we are alone. I just wanted to remember that God is always with us.

Lost Sheep

Soul Cry

Here I tried to depict our soul crying out to God.

: “Multiculturalism ” During Canada day festivities this image came to my head. Our county is a melting pot of people from all over the world. This was my way of showing us united together as one people. Canadians.

While I was visiting my sister in Newfoundland, I spent the day with her daughter and 3 small boys. Sarah is a single mom trying very hard to put food on the table. You would never know by the love these little boys give thier mom that they ever worried about where the next meal was comming from or how the power bill and rent were going to get paid. They spent about 20 minutes just hugging and kissing her for no reason . I was blessed to be a part of it. I grabbed my camera and started taking pictures. Once I was back home I imediately started painting the love I saw in my niece’s arms.
